The accounts suspend by Facebook and Twitter use fake identities and other deceptive behaviors to spread false or misleading information. The accounts belongs to internet users from at least 16 countries.
FB On Thursday-
Facebook Inc and Twitter Inc says on Thursday they are going to take down more than a dozen disinformation networks use by political and state back groups in multiple countries to deceive users on their platforms.
Identified Statements-
In separate statements, the two companies says they are identifying and suspending more than 3,500 accounts between them, which use fake identities and other deceptive behaviors to spread false or misleading information.
Selection Of Countries-
The networks target users in a wide selection of countries, including the United States where officials have warn the foreign governments are attempting to influence the outcome of November`s presidential election.
